HERS High Quality Insulation Installation (QII) can be part of a newly constructed home or addition when triggered by a performance approach CF1R .
Passing QII Inpections QII inspections have the highest failure rate of any HERS inspection. This is often due to a lack of coordination between the general contractor, the installing contractor and the HERS Rater. It is imperative that both contractors (GC & Insulation) be made aware of the extent of the inspections required to pass the HERS QII credit. Qii may require 3 or more inspections at various stages of construction.
